The Mirror quoted Paula as saying: “He is very angry with them and angry that they let him out of prison. He is quite scared and anxious. The abuse he suffered hurts him every day. He has often asked: ‘When will my legs be taken from me? ?grow again?’ I hope the panel listens to every word I have to say. They have no right to complain if his release is denied.”

In the 41 days after his birth, little Tony was subjected to a series of “vigorous and spiteful fits.” Simpson and Smith refused to call for help, and the baby sustained multiple injuries over ten days. When he was finally taken to the hospital, doctors discovered that he had torn ligaments and fractured fingers and toes.
In addition to multiple organ failure, toxic shock syndrome, and fractures to both thighs, calves, ankles, toes, and thumbs, Tony also experienced sepsis. The baby’s legs had to be amputated due to injuries to Simpson and Smith from swinging him hard, and he was placed on life support due to a mass on his brain. Due to his serious injuries, Tony will require special care for the rest of his life.

The notable child also contributed to Tony’s Law, which increased the maximum sentence for anyone who intentionally injures a child from 10 to 14 years in prison, according to reports.
