NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK – Travis Scott has been named as a defendant after he allegedly struck and damaged $12,000 worth of property. According to law enforcement sources, officials received an assault call early Wednesday morning, March 1, at Nebula in Midtown, where the “Don’t Play” singer got into a fight with a sound engineer. The latest report suggests that the alleged victim has yet to file a complaint or report pain or visible injuries as of yet.

The 30-year-old man is said to have destroyed a video screen and loudspeaker before leaving the nightclub in an unknown vehicle. According to sources close to the New York Post, only one complaint has been made and Scott is not in custody in connection with the alleged scuffle between the two.

Charges on Travis Scott

Scott, who is the father of two children with the ex Kylie Jenner, has a history of legal troubles. The artist also pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct in February 2018 stemming from an incident at an Arkansas concert the previous year. The ‘Goosebumps’ rapper was also booked for inciting a riot in May 2017 and has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

He is still responsible for many reports of the deaths of 10 people who perished during a November 2021 stampede at the Astroworld Festival in Houston. There were over 400 lawsuits against Scott, Live Nation and others as part of the Astroworld event. It was later combined into a civil case, where they are accused of negligence and 2,800 victims are recorded according to the documents.

Speaking about the tragic event, Scott said in an interview with Charlamagne tha God: “I just didn’t hear that. Scott also emphasized that “I’m that kind of artist” who would have stopped his show if he knew concertgoers were in imminent danger.
