What Xana Kernodle’s mother says about Police
A few days ago, Jeffrey Kernodle, Xana’s father, said he was growing increasingly frustrated by speculation about his 20-year-old daughter’s murder mystery. Xana’s mother, Cara Northington, recently discussed her daughter’s murder for the first time with News Nation. She revealed that the police have been unhelpful, saying: “Honestly, no, they haven’t said anything. I learned more on the news and on TV than I was told.” She later added, “There’s so much more that can be done that hasn’t been done.”
There is currently a gap in the timeline indicating the whereabouts of Ethan and Xana the night before they were killed. They were at a frat party just a five-minute walk from the house, according to authorities. When News Nation inquired about the timeline, Northington told “Banfield” that she believed Xana and Ethan went to a pub afterwards.
He later added that he believes the killings were targeted, saying, “If you knew Xana, you knew what a light she was to everyone she came across. She was such a positive influence on everyone around her… I’m not saying this is “It’s because I’m her mother and I’m biased. It’s just the truth. There’s nothing negative you can say about her. She was such a good soul. No parent should have to go through this. These kids were good kids.”
All four victims received multiple stab wounds with a large knife, according to autopsy results filed Thursday, November 24. According to the story, the deaths were ruled homicides and the killer remains at large.
Xana was born in 2002 in Sandpoint, Idaho. Her parents supported the professional decision of her eldest daughter, Xana. According to the victim’s father, she had a bright personality and no one would want to be stabbed to death. She was courteous to everyone and offered to help others without asking for anything in return, her father said.
