After learning that her car had been involved in an accident on a Dallas freeway, Yesica Martinez’s relatives discovered her missing body in a nearby ditch. The body of 25-year-old Yesica Martinez was discovered by relatives Sunday behind a fence along the southbound service road of the North Stemmons Freeway, according to FOX affiliate KDFW and NBC affiliate KXAS. His SUV had crashed on an overpass about 48 hours earlier, according to reports.

Mario Morales, Martinez’s husband, said her body was found “severely beaten and half-dressed” about a half mile from her car, according to The Dallas Morning News. Morales last heard from his wife early Friday morning as he was driving home from his new job serving at a Dallas bar, according to the newspaper.

But at 2 a.m. m., Martinez had not yet returned to the couple’s home in Pleasant Grove, according to the report. Morales called 911 to report the disappearance of his wife.”[The dispatcher was] like, ‘Well, it’s not uncommon for young women…to break up or leave a relationship like that without giving notice,'” Morales told KXAS.

Morales then went to a Dallas police station to file a missing person report, according to The Dallas Morning News, and was allegedly told again that Martinez was free to go whenever he wanted. After sharing Martinez’s license plate number, Morales learned that the car his wife was driving had been involved in an accident on Interstate 35E at the Woodall Rodgers connector, according to the report.

An officer told Morales that Martinez appeared to be arguing with a man during a 911 call made the morning of the accident, KXAS reports. “But she could be heard asking for help,” Dario Manzo, Martinez’s brother, told KDFW. The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) said deputies searched the area around the empty vehicle but did not see anyone nearby at the time, according to the report.Read More……
