Yue ‘Emily’ Yu  indicted of poisoning husband

Chen filed for divorce before the incident after 10 years of marriage and also filed to keep Yu away from her two elementary-age children, the New York Post reports. He accused Yu and her mother-in-law in August 2022 of abusing him and her two children. He said: “Two-year-old Emily and Amy were verbally then physically abusive, which intensified as they got older. They are verbally and physically abusive to me.”

However, in a statement, Scott Simmons, Yue Yu’s attorney, said her client’s husband made false statements to obtain a divorce from her. He said: “If you thought you were being poisoned, would you go to a divorce lawyer before going to the hospital or the police? Drano is not an undercover poison agent. It has a strong odor and taste and is highly caustic. Dr. Yu looks forward to her day in court when she finally finds out the truth,” stated KTLA 5.

Yu was arrested in August 2022, but was later released on $30,000 bail. However, she was indicted on April 5. Speaking of this, Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer said: “Our homes should be where we feel safest. However, a licensed medical professional took advantage of her husband’s daily rituals to torment him by systematically giving him a Drano-like substance in her tea with the intention of causing him pain and suffering.”

Hittleman said: “Making sure there is a chance for justice to be done. This is the next step in resolving this horrible turn of events. This is tragic on several levels.” On the other hand, Yu is scheduled to be arraigned on April 18 and faces more than eight years in prison.Read More…….
