A speedboat accident in Missouri left eight people injured and requiring hospital treatment when a boat they were on ran aground and crashed into the side of a house. Police identified the other victims as Karlie Jones, 21, of Oak Hills, Calif., Roxy Soukup, 23, of Glen Ellyn, Ill., Kylie Iltchi, 26, of Phelan, Calif., Amy Hillyer, 50, of Louisville, Mississippi and Matthew Hillyer, 51, of Louisville, Mississippi, were the other people injured on the boat. Adam Ramirez Boat’s driver is charged

The accident occurred Saturday night at Lake of the Ozarks, southwest of St. Louis. The impact after the ship ran aground threw all of the ship’s passengers as it capsized, near the 1.3-mile mark of the Osage Arm. The driver of the boat, identified as Adam Ramirez, 47, of Huntington Beach, California, was charged with boating while intoxicated and with serious injury.

Ramirez is known to be something of a motorboat enthusiast. His Instagram lists him as a California-based customs shop owner who works on motors for boats and cars. The boat was a 2014 Nortech boat with powerful engines and a top speed of 70 knots. The passengers, four women and four men between the ages of 21 and 51, were seriously injured. The group was taken to Lake Regional Hospital.

Ramirez’s wife, Cathy Ramirez, was also on the boat, according to a police report. Adam Pratt, who is a Good Boy Vodka and hosts social media posts with DJ Khaled and golfer John Daly, and the owner of a racing company, was also injured in the collision. Soukup and Cathy Ramirez were taken to the hospital with “moderate” injuries, according to police. The other people on the boat had ‘serious’ injuries. It is unclear if anyone inside the home suffered injuries in the collision.

Pratt had posted photos to his Instagram page hours before the accident, and one showed some of the victims enjoying dinner together. Others showed him and boats in the water, though it’s unclear if one of the images he shared was of the boat involved in the accident. Pictures from the accident scene on Sunday showed extensive damage to the house with bricks that had come loose from a side wall, looking extremely shaky.
