Adriana Kuch committed suicide on February 3 after a video of her being beaten by girls in the school hallway was posted on social media. Following the horrific attack and death two days later, more than 200 students protested against the school through an all-day strike at the school, demanding immediate action from the authorities and skipping class. The huge group of students have been trying to bring the bullying to the school’s attention which has been repeatedly ignored.
Sophomore Román Valez said: “Adriana took her own life because no one at school could help or care or intervene. In fact, I would like to teach people who bully what they are really doing and how it affects,” the added one student, while another said he wanted the students involved in the attack to be “criminally charged because a girl committed suicide by her actions.”

Michael, who thanked the student for his support, said that he believes he knows the reason that led to Adriana’s death. He said: “I know why it happened: because the two girls didn’t like each other for a couple of years, and she had been threatening my daughter online.”

Central Regional High School has not made a statement on the incident as of yet, other than sending her parents a letter alerting them to her death.
