CALIFORNIA: Authorities discovered the remains of the founder of a digital health company nearly a year and a half after he went missing from his Uber ride in November. The remains of 39-year-old Beau Mann were located in the 2900 block of Santa Monica Boulevard, approximately one mile from where he was dropped off by his Uber on November 30, 2021.

“Their identity of him was confirmed through dental records. At this time, we have no further details about what led to his death,” Mann’s family said in a statement, according to the New York Post. “Beau was a beautiful soul who spent most of his life helping others,” the statement continued. “We miss his contagious smile and his positive attitude every day. We know his spirit will live on through his company and passion, Sober Grid, as he continues to help those struggling with addiction.”

In 2015, Mann founded the Sober Grid to help drug addicts keep in touch with and check on each other. The app allows users to remain anonymous or use their real names.
