California authorities are searching for a San Diego inmate who walked away from a reentry center on Saturday. Cynthia Baker was found guilty of assault with force probably resulting in grievous bodily injury Cynthia Baker 31, was found guilty of assault with force probably resulting in serious bodily injury. She was sentenced to three years in prison and transferred to a reentry center.
She was reported missing from the Community Custody Transitional Reentry Program around 9:45 p.m. Saturday night. Officials received a notice from Baker’s monitoring device altering that she was not on the premises. Correctional security officers were dispatched to locate Baker, but have not yet been able to find her.

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) asked the public to keep an eye out for the inmate. She is 4 feet 11 inches tall and weighs approximately 145 pounds.
“Since 1977, 99 percent of all offenders who left an adult institution, camp, or community program without permission have been apprehended,” the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation said in a statement.
