The worker, identified Monday as 27-year-old Renner, died of blunt-force and acute injuries at the San Antonio International Airport, KEN 5 reported, citing the Bexar County Office of the Medical Examiner’s ruling.

Emergency crews discovered the gruesome scene after responding to reports of a ground worker being “swallowed” into the engine of a Delta plane that had just landed from Los Angeles. The National Transportation Safety Board initially launched an investigation, but it was halted Monday after the medical examiner’s determination.

“The NTSB will not open an investigation into this event. There were no operational security issues with either the plane or the airport,” an NTSB spokesperson said, according to KEN 5. Both Delta and the company that hired Renner, Unifi Aviation, previously expressed their condolences over the sudden death.Read More……
