The Missouri ER doctor who disappeared last week after texting his new fiancée that he would see her in “a little bit” was found dead Tuesday. Dr. John Forsyth was reported missing on May 21 after he failed to show up for his 7 p.m. appointment. shift at Mercy Hospital in Cassville, the first shift to jump without notice in more than a decade. His uncharacteristic behavior prompted his employer to alert the police. Forsyth’s brother, Richard Forsyth, confirmed to The Post in an email Tuesday night that authorities recovered his brother’s body. Dr. John Forsyth found dead.

“We are in a state of shock. I suspect it was foul play,” Richard told Fox News, adding that the family hopes to learn more about the circumstances of his death on Wednesday. The 49-year-old man’s body was recovered in northwest Arkansas, his brother said. John, a dedicated healthcare professional and father of seven children, worked at the same hospital for 15 years. Both his brother and his employer said he never missed a day of work or was late.

“Dr. Forsyth has never missed a shift without notifying us in the past, so when he missed his scheduled shift and we were unable to reach him, we became concerned and alerted authorities,” the hospital said ahead of the news of his death. Richard echoed the hospital’s sentiment, telling the Daily Beast that he was completely out of character for his sister to miss work. “He wouldn’t miss a turn, even if his eyeballs were out of his sockets,” he said. “It was an immediate red flag.”

It is believed that the last person John was in contact with was his new fiancée, whom he texted around 7am. m. after he finished her shift to tell her that he would see her “a little later”. Then he suddenly stopped responding to her messages. She has not been identified. Video surveillance caught the doctor walking to her luxury mobile home, where he remained in the hospital parking lot during her shifts. Police later located his Infiniti about 700 feet from the entrance to the Cassville Aquatics Center in a yard waste chute.

Inside the vehicle, authorities found his passport, wallet and two phones, along with the keys to her RV and car. His VR was also unlocked, which Richard also called “very uncharacteristic.” Extensive searches of the 90-acre wooded area around where authorities discovered her car turned up empty.

According to his brother, the beloved doctor got engaged three days before his disappearance and several days after he finalized the divorce from his first wife. An uncontested divorce settlement was entered on May 11 that awarded his ex about $19,000 a month in alimony and child support, Richard said.Read More…..
