In Lycoming County Court on Friday, January 20, Echo Butler pleaded guilty to two counts of conspiracy to commit the first-degree murder of his girlfriend Marie Snyder’s two daughters, Nicole, 6, and Jasmine, 4. .

According to police affidavits, the two women allegedly subjected the Snyder daughters to heinous and unparalleled abuse daily for years that ultimately led to their deaths. The children were found buried in the backyard of the couple’s home located in the 600 block of Livermore Road in Williamsport, according to Law & Crime. Snyder and Echo allegedly tortured, abused, restrained, and starved the two girls, but did not harm Snyder’s infant son.

Echo Butler accused of two merder

Reflecting on the sentencing, District Attorney Ryan Gardner said “her ages will remain 6 and 4 indefinitely,” adding that “justice is served in her name.” He also told PA that this was the most horrible case he had ever experienced in her years of career. “In all the years that I have been a practicing attorney, this is the most horrible case I have ever experienced,” Gardner said.
