Relatives of Jay Kyle Jenkins posted a photo and referred to him as “our lovely, kind son.”

The 36-year-old woman and her partner Rachel Curtis, 36, were discovered in Swansea’s River Tawe at 3:05 a.m. on Sunday.
In response to reports of a black Mini car submerged in water, emergency personnel were dispatched to the area.
The bodies were discovered nearby.

Yesterday, South Wales Police verified that Mr Jenkins was the passenger and that Ms Curtis, a resident of the Bonymaen ward of the city, was the driver.

Mr. Jenkins, an electrician from the St. Thomas region, and Ms. Curtis were friends since grade school, according to her family.

Tributes have been paid to a “kind and genuine” man after the bodies of two people were found next to a car submerged in a river on Christmas Day.
Jay Kyle Jenkins, 36, of St Thomas, Swansea, was the passenger in the car being driven by Rachel Curtis, 36, of Bonymaen, also in Swansea.
His bodies were found next to a Mini Cooper in the River Tawe in the city.

Ms Curtis, the mother of a 14-year-old boy, was described as a “fun, smart and unique” woman.
Electrician Mr. Jenkins and Ms. Curtis had been friends since school, his family said.
In a statement, Jenkins’ family said he was his “beautiful and kind boy.”

Police were called to the junction of New Cut Road and the A483 in Swansea at 03:05 GMT on Christmas Day.
South Wales Police investigations into the incident are continuing and officers are calling for anyone who witnessed the car plunge into the river, or who has security camera or security camera footage, to contact them. Read More….
