Four people were killed and dozens injured in a 50-car crash on Friday, December 23. Among the victims was a pregnant mother of two, Julie Roth, who died during the incident, which took place on the Ohio Turnpike between State Route 53 and State Route 4 in Sandusky and Erie counties.
According to 13ABC, Julie’s children Rory, 5, and Ayla, 4, were traveling with her when the accident occurred. Her two children were taken to Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky, where they received extensive care before being transported back to Toledo, Julie’s family said, also releasing a statement saying, “Julie was also a loving wife and daughter. dedicated, sister, aunt and niece.
She was an integral part of our family and we are devastated by her loss.” She added: “Outside the home, Julie dedicated her life to helping others as a nurse and enjoyed her side business, The Truffle Affair, making chocolates and other sweets for others.

In addition to her children, Julie is survived by her husband, Tony, whose brother, Chris Roth, started an online GoFundMe fundraising campaign that has raised more than $58,495 for medical expenses and to support her surviving children and husband. Separately,
