Kelly Welling recalled telling her 15-year-old son, “I’m proud of you. I love you.” Wesley died in front of his sister on his mother’s birthday on Tuesday, April 18.

Kelly said she received the shocking news about Wesley’s death from her daughter Hannah, who narrowly escaped being struck by a Toyota Camry in Thousand Oaks. “I got the call from my daughter Hannah. There was an accident and he was unconscious and they were doing CPR and they did it all the way to the hospital,” Kelly said. “That’s where it happened. By some miracle, my daughter wasn’t standing next to him because it could have been the two of them,” he added, reported the NY Post.

On Tuesday, the 15-year-old boy and his sister, along with other Westlake High School students, were waiting for the bus when Austin Eis, 24, allegedly intentionally hit him with his car. According to authorities, Eis, who is homeless, previously went on a rampage at a Simi Valley Walmart. Two employees were attacked and one of them was stabbed in the incident. The slain boy’s sister said she heard the car skid, “and it happened so fast.”

Speaking about the incident, Kelly said: “I’m worried about her sister because she witnessed the accident. I just can’t believe she’s real. I hope she comes downstairs and still hears her voice.”

“I told her, ‘I’m proud of you. I love you. Have a nice day,’ and that was the last thing I said to her,” the grieving mother recalled. Kelly also said that her own sister died a week ago and now she is planning her son’s funeral. With Hannah and her other son, Cody, Kelly went to the crash site in front of the school. “Everyone loved him. I’m finding out how many more people loved him than I already knew because of all this,” Kelly said.Read More……..
