According to police, four suspects have been arrested for allegedly abducting two newborn twins from a hotel in Livonia, Michigan, on Sunday. Montana and Matthew was kidnapped now recoverd

Police released security camera photos of the two suspects, who were wearing hooded jackets to cover their faces. Around 9:30 a.m. m. Monday, the twins were taken to the Detroit Police Department’s Ninth Precinct, Detroit Police Chief James White said during the news conference. “We have the best possible result. Both children have been recovered,” White said during the news conference, adding that the babies were unharmed.

“We are still trying to figure out exactly what happened and why they disappeared,” Yon said. The twins’ grandmother, Yvette McDonald, told CBS Detroit on Wednesday that “it all started when she [her daughter] went on Facebook.” “She was just asking for a little help,” McDonald told the outlet. “They are supposed to help young women who have just had babies with resources, gift cards, diapers, etc.”

“They came to my son’s house the day before they kidnapped the children,” she said. “They tried to get in through the window, the bathroom window and the front window.” “It was the same black jeep that came to my son’s house and took the children away,” she said, adding that the family believed that staying at the hotel would be the best security measure. “My son left them at the hotel just to escape for safety,” she said.

The family also received several text messages from the people who allegedly took the twins, McDonald said. She said she couldn’t reveal what the text messages said, but she thought they were trying to hide what they had done. McDonald told the outlet that “the FBI said it might have been disingenuous to make them look good to try to look like it was all planned.” The investigation is ongoing.
