Natalia Andrea Larrañaga Fajardo, a young woman from Colombia, was killed by a boat propeller last month after jumping into the water to retrieve her flip-flops, and now chilling video of her final moments has surfaced.

Larrañaga Fajardo, from Cali, was visiting White Watta Beach on the island of San Andrés on Nov. 27 when she jumped on a boat full of acquaintances, the Miami Herald reported.

Natalia Andrea Larrañaga Fajardo, a young woman from Colombia, was killed by a boat propeller last month after jumping into the water to retrieve her flip-flops, and now chilling video of her final moments has surfaced.

Larrañaga Fajardo, from Cali, was visiting White Watta Beach on the island of San Andrés on Nov. 27 when she jumped on a boat full of acquaintances, the Miami Herald reported.

Video shared by Archipelago Press showed people on nearby boats screaming as Fajardo bled profusely and arched her back from catastrophic injuries to her legs. Finally, she was put on a jet ski and taken to the hospital.

A statement from the Departmental Hospital of the Social Enterprise of the State of San Andrés to El Isleño media confirmed that she arrived around 5:30 p.m. local time.

After major surgery and multiple blood transfusions, Fajardo was pronounced dead around 2:30 a.m. m. of November 28.

The ship and its crew are reportedly under investigation by local authorities.

News of Fajardo’s horrific accident comes just months after a boat propeller severed both feet on Lake Michigan for Lana Batochir, a mother of two in Chicago.

“I thought she was going to die,” she told reporters about her harrowing experience.

“I fought for my life for seconds that seemed like minutes. I began to drown, I did not know how to swim. Batochir, 34, underwent lower leg amputation and nerve surgery for her injuries, after which she began the grueling rehabilitation process.”

“Anyone who knows me knows that I love dancing, I love music and I enjoy family life,” she lamented at the time.
