A Hall County man is in custody and charged with murder after deputies say he shot and killed his roommate Monday night. Investigators say Robert Adam Maggio 48, of Gainesville, got into a fight with his roommate, Shane Gilleland, 51, shortly after 11 p.m. at his house on Belvedere Drive off Price Road.

Gilleland and his girlfriend were living with Maggio shortly before the shooting. Maggio was taken to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office for an interview Tuesday, where he was later arrested.
