A 21-year-old woman has been arrested for allegedly planning to kill the unborn child of her romantic rival by having someone surreptitiously give her an abortion pill and paying that person with a pair of Apple AirPods. Haley Ann Raborn was arrested Thursday in Hernando County, Florida and charged with one count of solicited murder of an unborn child by injury to the mother, attempted murder of an unborn child by injury to the mother, and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence, jail records reviewed by Law & Crime show.

Charges on Haley Ann Raborn

The victim told officers that her ex-boyfriend had recently contacted her about the alleged plot. She allegedly told the victim that Raborn had recently contacted him and asked him to “kill the victim’s unborn child,” the statement said. The ex-fiancé then showed the victim copies of the messages exchanged between him and Raborn on Snapchat that allegedly showed Raborn asking her to kill the unborn child. “The messages included premeditated instructions on how to carry out the crime,” the sheriff’s office wrote. “In addition, Raborn offered to pay the ex-fiancé, with a couple of air pods, once the request was completed.”

After exchanging messages, Raborn and the victim’s ex-fiancé met in person where she allegedly provided him with a pill to give the victim that would induce an abortion. After the meeting, authorities say the ex-fiancé turned the pill over to investigators. After learning of Raborn’s alleged plot against her, the victim obtained a restraining order against Raborn prohibiting her from contacting the victim.

As the investigation progressed, detectives say they learned that in addition to planning the death of the unborn child, Raborn had also created a fake Facebook account using the victim’s name and photos. “By reviewing the messages sent from the fictitious account, detectives determined that the account was likely created to thwart this investigation,” the statement said.

The nature of the messages Raborn allegedly sent from the fictitious account was unclear and the office did not immediately respond to a message from Law & Crime seeking additional details. Detectives sat down for an interview with Raborn at her home on May 9.

“While speaking with detectives, Raborn finally admitted that he did, in fact, attempt to get the victim to take an abortion pill, without the victim’s consent,” the statement said. “Raborn initially denied creating the fictitious Facebook account; however, he eventually admitted to doing it.

Raborn told detectives that he got the pill from a virtual doctor, online, and he knew it was an abortion pill.” Authorities added that after confessing, Raborn “showed little or no remorse for planning the murder of the unborn child.” Raborn is currently being held at the Pasco County Jail in Land O’ Lakes, Florida, in lieu of $105,000 bond.Read More……
