Police are asking for help locating a 24-year-old Kansas City, Kansas woman Samantha Thrasher accused of shooting a man and a boy at a Blue Springs hotel nearly two weeks ago. “Thrasher is considered armed and very dangerous so please do not try to stop her, call your local police if they see her,” police said on Facebook.

Charges on Samantha J. Thrasher

An arrest warrant was issued for Samantha J. Thrasher, who is wanted in connection with the shooting around 11:50 p.m. on May 20 at the SureStay Plus Hotel at 701 N.W. South Outer Road that injured a 36-year-old man and a 7-year-old girl, according to Blue Springs police.

Thrasher was described as being 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing 100 pounds. She was seen with a tan 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe. Thrasher allegedly assaulted the man by hitting him with a clenched fist and shooting him multiple times. She allegedly shot the girl once too. The girl’s injuries were not life-threatening, according to police.

The Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office charged Thrasher with two counts of assault in the first degree and armed criminal action. Anyone with knowledge of Thrasher’s whereabouts is asked to call local police or 911.Read More……
