EL MIRAGE, ARIZONA – In a bizarre incident, a man reporting for a job interview with police in Arizona ended up in prison after admitting to possessing child pornography. Sergio Armondo Celaya , 25, admitted the crime during a polygraphic test required for the labor process carried out on Monday.

The El Mirage Police Department said Celaya was taking the test as part of the interview process to become a police assistant for the department. He admitted to interviewers that he still possessed videos of his and his ex-girlfriend committing sexual acts when he was a teenager, according to court records obtained by AZ Family.

He went on to inform police that he would visit a website where girls would send him videos of underage teens having sex. In addition, he saved thousands of pornographic images and movies on his flash drive that Celaya owned, including a sex tape showing boys between the ages of 12 and 13, the outlet told police during the interview.

Sergio Celaya confessed having child porn during police interview

Investigators claim that Celaya sent and received explicit child movies and images from strangers while using the free online chat service Omegle. He acknowledged saving the files to his flash drive. The files included several videos of children between the ages of 11 and 15, according to police.

Celaya claimed that he used a virtual private network to encrypt his Internet and his account to ostensibly hide his identity and kept the content to himself without sharing it with anyone. Celaya admitted to authorities that he knew child pornography was prohibited and that he intended to remove the images and movies from the USB drive or throw them away, but kept them instead.

PEl Mirage police said detectives later searched Celaya’s home, where they found child pornography on USB flash drives and on his personal computer containing content from children between the ages of 5 and 15. However, the flash drives had thousands of saved images, and investigators are still working to analyze them, according to court documents.

Celaya was booked into the Maricopa County Jail on four counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, according to a police statement. “My detectives acted quickly once they learned of the suspect’s statements. There is no place in any community to possess this type of material or engage in this type of behavior,” El Mirage Police Chief Paul Marzocca said.Read More……
