Authorities continue to investigate a shooting outside a Miami Gardens restaurant Thursday night that left at least 10 people injured, according to multiple reports. shooting at Miami restaurant
The shooting may have involved rappers French Montana and Rob49, as the two were filming a music video in the area, according to WFOR-TV.
Miami Gardens police responded to the shooting outside The Licking restaurant just before 8 p.m., where they found multiple victims, according to WSVN. Police have not confirmed the number of injuries, although sources told the station that there were more than 10.
Paramedics and the Miami-Dade Fire Department also responded to the scene, transporting four of the victims to area hospitals, one of whom was in critical condition. Other victims were transported to hospital, WFOR reported.
A witness to the shooting told WFOR-TV that it occurred during rapper French Montana’s music video, which was being filmed near the restaurant. The witness recalled hearing between 10 and 15 shots before seeing people running chaotically.
“We’re still working on [the scene]. Yes, there are multiple shots, there are multiple cases,” MGPD Detective Diana Gorgue said, according to WSVN. “We’re still working. We can’t confirm any numbers right now, because everything is still fresh and they’re still investigating.”
According to WSVN, witness Ced Mogul said that he left the restaurant to watch the rapper film the video. At some point, a person in the crowd watching the production had his watch and wallet stolen, escalating the situation, Mogul explained shooting at Miami restaurant
Mogul said: “It was like at least 13, 14, 15 shots. It was very fast, it sounded like an assault rifle. I ran out and I was looking back, but I was like, ‘You know what? I just ducked first, and then people started asking me, you know, ‘Can you help me?’ When I realized people were asking for help, there was nothing you could do about it when you got shot.” Read More….
