Early life of Jo Mersa Marley

On March 12, 1991, she was born in Kingston, Jamaica. Jo Mersa is the eldest son of Stephen Robert Nesta Marley and grandson of Bob Marley, the famous reggae artist. Jo Mersa grew up in Jamaica before attending high school in Florida.

According to a tweet by Jamaican journalist Abka Fitz-Henly, the 31-year-old was discovered in a coma in a vehicle.

Abka Fitz-Henly says the cause of death was “not immediately clear” but “sources close to the events believe that Joseph Marley may have succumbed to an asthma attack.”

Joseph, stage name Jo Mersa, rose to fame as a reggae performer during his successful career in the music industry and is survived by his wife, Qiara, and his daughter, Sunshine.
