Body of Tatiana Dokhotaru, 34, was found in the unit of a Sydney apartment block at around 8:00 p.m. m. of Saturday. The woman’s body was discovered after police received an anonymous call about an alleged domestic dispute on Norfolk St, in the city’s southwest, the night before.

Police officers who arrived at the scene found the body of the woman who appeared to have suffered severe head injuries, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.

In the apartment was Tatiana’s partner, Danny Zayat, 28, who was detained and taken in for questioning, and a four-year-old boy. Zayat was charged with crimes of domestic violence, including stalking/intimidation with intent to fear bodily harm, violating the prohibition/restriction in an AVO, and destroying or damaging property.

Police said he received an anonymous phone call from a woman who now believes she was the mother of 34, just before midnight Friday, saying that she was the victim of assault. They said they knew the apartment block was located in Liverpool but were unable to locate the apartment, only to be called the next day to find Tatiana’s body.

NSW Police opened a critical incident investigation which would be reviewed independently. Deputy Commissioner Stuart Smith said: “[They were presented with] a 27-story double tower with over 300 apartments. “They were unable to determine the exact location of the anonymous caller.”

Court documents suggest that police allege that the domestic dispute between Zayat and Dokhotaru occurred on Friday night between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. m. and midnight, reports the Daily Telegraph. On Sunday, Zayat appeared at the Parramatta Bail Court, where he was denied bail. He is scheduled to appear at Liverpool Court on Monday.Read More……
