At approximately 10 a.m. m. Wednesday, Monroe County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to the 15000 block of South Telegraph Road in Monroe Township after receiving a report of a man, later identified as Haddix, who shot employees of a business, a press release. the sheriff’s office said. The business was not identified.

Agents arrived on the scene and discovered that Haddix had fled in an unknown direction. The investigation revealed that the suspect and employees were involved in a dispute at the location. Haddix drew a handgun and fired in the direction of the employees, according to the statement. Nobody was hurt.
A description of the suspect and his vehicle was broadcast on police channels, according to the statement. Shortly thereafter, Central Dispatch received information that Haddix was at a business on North Dixie Highway near Heck Park in Frenchtown Township. Sheriff’s deputies and detectives, along with members of the Michigan State Police and the Monroe Department of Public Safety, responded to the area and took the suspect into custody. He was booked into the Monroe County Jail on a variety of assault-related criminal charges.
