Lacey Spears killed her daughter and where is now?

Lacey is reportedly being held at the Bedford Hills Correctional Center for Women in Westchester County, New York. The earliest potential release date for her, based on her inmate record, is June 2034, The Cinemaholic reported.

Lacey was convicted of second-degree murder and sentenced to 20 years to life in prison for torturing her son Garnett for attention. Prosecutors argued that Lacey had tortured her son for attention, leading to her being found guilty and sentenced to 20 years to life in prison. The judge declared that Lacey’s crime was “unfathomable in its cruelty” of hers.

However, the court did not impose the maximum punishment, noting that it wanted her to realize that she has Munchausen syndrome by proxy (MSBP) and confront it. This is a mental illness in which a caregiver lies or harms the child she is caring for to gain sympathy or attention.

When Lacey moved into The Fellowship in Chestnut Ridge, New York, she told her acquaintances that Garnett was the son of a police officer who had been killed in a car accident. But the truth was quite different. Chris Hill, a previous acquaintance of Lacey’s, was Garnett’s biological father and allegedly wanted to be a part of her son’s life, but was not allowed. It soon became clear that Lacey had a history of lying.

She made up ailments, assumed other children were hers, and even forced Garnett to be repeatedly hospitalized from a young age. The single mom also used social media channels and a blog to post updates about her son’s health, earning her the nickname “mommy blogger.”Read More……
