CALIFORNIA: The grieving family of a teenage girl has now been urging people to help her find her killer(s). Yzabella Perez was only 17 years old when she died on Wednesday, May 3, after being shot on Saturday, April 29. The girl was sitting in a vehicle with her boyfriend when the shooting began.

“Yzabella was a beautiful daughter with her whole life ahead of her. She just finished all her high school credits two weeks ago. So, she was going to walk this year. At this time, the main concern of her was “prom dress” of hers. Perez’s father, who preferred not to be identified, told ABC7.

The violence on April 29 was reported to have started around 11:28 p.m. m. in the 34000 block of Princeton Drive. At the time, the Yucaipa High School senior was outside her home with her 18-year-old boyfriend, who survived. Whether the shooting was carried out by a single person or a group has not yet been confirmed.

Gloria Huerta, a spokeswoman for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office, said: “At this time, we don’t have much information on the suspect…the investigation is ongoing. Detectives are looking for a dark-colored 4-door vehicle that may have been involved.”

Pérez was about to graduate from high school. Her father now pleaded: “Please communicate anonymously. This makes no sense. They were children. There is nothing they could have done in this lifetime to justify that kind of response.” He also added: “Whoever did this took an innocent life. You took something that cannot be returned. It can no longer be made whole. Search the depths of your soul and know that it is for you.

She had big dreams and a bright future that was tragically cut short. Please help support the Perez family as they go through this extremely difficult time. The Angel of hers was taken too soon.”
