A Texas Zachary Mills has been arrested and charged after police say he kidnapped and sexually assaulted a woman he met on an online dating platform.
Harris County Sheriff’s Office Precinct 4 deputies responded to a call in Tomball, Texas, on December 29 regarding a female victim who was assaulted by a suspect she met online, later identified as Zachary Mills, 21. years, police said. posted on Facebook.

Court records show Mills began punching and biting the victim in the face after she refused his sexual advances after meeting on the dating platform Bumble, KPRC-TV reported.

On December 29, the woman was finally able to escape from Mill’s apartment after he left for his father’s house. She sought help from a good Samaritan neighbor and was taken to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries, police said.
“The victim in this case had severe injuries to the face, orbits, lower extremities; Fortunately, we were able to get her to the hospital very quickly,” Harris County Police Precinct 4 Capt. Jonathan Zitzmann told KHOU.
The next day, authorities executed a search warrant at the apartment and arrested Mills at a gas station across the street on December 30. Mills was charged with first degree aggravated kidnapping.

An investigation is underway for him and additional charges may be filed later, Agent Mark Herman said. “At this time, Mr. Mills is presumed innocent. Until then, we will review the discovery, strategize and prepare a defense,” said Chris Denuna, Mills’ defense attorney. He added that his client “has not seen anything in the allegations to make them credible.”
Mills was released from jail on $50,000 bond and is under house arrest. Under his bail conditions, the suspect is under 24-hour house arrest and can only leave to go to court, shop and meet with his lawyer, ABC News reported. He is also prohibited from being within 200 feet of where the victim works or lives. Mills’ next court appearance is on Friday, January 6.
The documents also allege that Mills used a screwdriver to attack her and that he grabbed her clothing and tried to stop her when she ran out the door to escape her.
