Who killed David Read?

A team of officers was assigned to the case and they arrested a 34 year old man from Blackburn on suspicion of murder tonight. He remains in custody. Detective Chief Inspector Mark Haworth-Oates, of the Force Major investigation team, said: “My thoughts remain with David’s loved ones at this time, I cannot begin to understand the pain they must be feeling at this time.”

“While we have made one arrest, our investigation is ongoing and I would call on anyone who can help to come forward and talk to us.” I’m still anxious to hear from anyone who has met David, particularly if they’ve had contact with him in the last few days or have information they think may help our investigation.

“We are also appealing to anyone who has seen anything suspicious during Tuesday and Wednesday in the Leamington Road area or has CCTV or dashcam footage covering those dates.” Security patrols will remain in the Leamington Road area this weekend, and anyone with information or concerns should approach an officer.
