She earned a BA in Women’s Studies from William Paterson University. Dwumfour had served in Sayreville Township since November 2021, when she unseated the incumbent Democrat in a stunning election victory. She did not run for re-election until 2024.

Eunice Dwumfour cause of death

Local police arrived at the scene around 7:30 p.m. m. after receiving a 911 call for multiple gunshots at Samuel Circle in Sayreville. Upon their arrival, they found the badly wounded body of Dwumfor. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Witnesses revealed that the suspected gunman was seen running onto the Garden State Parkway, which runs along the complex, according to the NY Post. Sayreville Mayor Victoria Kilpatrick described Dwumfour as a “dedicated member of our city council who was truly committed to serving all of our residents” and called the shooting a “despicable criminal act.”

You will be missed, my dear precious friend.”
