Karon Blake Wiki – Karon Blake Biography

Karon Blake was killed by an armed homeowner who believed the teen was trying to break into nearby cars.  Neighbors say they are outraged, and while police have released few details, they have not said the teen was armed. The accused shooter is a government employee, police revealed.

They said he approached Karon with a firearm after seeing him “tampering” with the cars. The man apparently went to “investigate further” when he approached the teenager holding his gun. During the interaction, shots were fired. Police arrived at the scene at 3:56 a.m. m. and found Karon seriously injured. They took the boy to the hospital where he died.

There are still so many questions surrounding the teen’s death. Officers are not sure what happened during the interaction that ended with the use of deadly force. Now local residents and activists are speaking up.

“We are appalled by the way the Metropolitan Police Department and the Bowser Administration have handled this murder, and the narrative that property and material values are as valuable as or more than Karon’s life,” Black Swan Academy, a group from D.C. which aims to empower Black youth, he said in a statement.

“The violent act that Karon’s murderer took is vigilante behavior. It’s just another form of gun violence that youth across the city have continued to fight against. It’s the same kind of behavior that led to the deaths of black people like Trayvon Martin, Ahmaud Arbery and Jordan Davis.” Read More….
