Luna Padilla Wiki – Luna Padilla Biography
Luna Padilla is recovering after being shot twice in an apparent road rage incident in southeast Houston, and her mother is speaking out about the alleged gunman. “She doesn’t deserve to go through this,” Rosemary Sabio, Luna Padilla’s mother, told ABC 13. “She’s only 7 years old.”
On Sunday night, Sabio was driving a red Nissan with Luna sitting in the back seat when the car stopped at a red light in the 7500 block of Bellfort on Telephone Road. Sabio told ABC 13 that she was briefly checking her phone when the light turned green. She heard the horn of a black Lexus behind her and then kept driving.

What happened to Luna Padilla
Sabio recalled that the driver of the Lexus moved to the left side of the road when she did. She changed lanes again so the Lexus could pass her, but the driver of the Lexus followed her.
Sabio then heard three shots. Houston police later said Sabio’s daughter sustained injuries to her leg and thigh. “She yelled, ‘Mommy!'” Sabio recalled Luna saying. “And she started crying. And I was like, ‘What happened, Mom? Mom, what happened? You’re okay. You’re okay.'” And she says, ‘Mommy, it hurts.’ So I stopped my car and got out.”
Video footage revealed bullet holes in the side of Sabio’s car. She got out of her car as bystanders came to help, including a woman who placed a T-shirt on Luna’s bleeding leg. “She was crazy, all these people trying to help,” Sabio recalled to the outlet. Luna was taken to a hospital and was listed in stable condition at the time. KHOU reported that the girl was released on Tuesday.

Houston authorities said the person behind the wheel of the black Lexus drove away from the scene, according to ABC 13. However, the license plate number was caught on camera, which could help the investigation. “For my daughter to go through this just because someone crazy decided to shoot, a gun and shoot whoever she wants? She’s crazy,” Sabio told ABC 13.
