She sought you out to protect him. I don’t understand this she weighed 31 pounds at autopsy and was 8 years old,” LaSata said, according to a Herald Palladium report. Police responding to a 911 call at Morrow’s home in the 700 block of Columbia Avenue on May 3, 2022, reported finding Jaxson Morrow dead on a couch in the living room. Authorities said he appeared extremely thin and appeared to have been dead for some time.

An autopsy later determined that Jaxson Morrow’s death was a negligent homicide, South Bend ABC affiliate WBND-LD reported. Morrow told police she noticed her son was suffering from respiratory problems just before his death and even admitted that she and her husband should have taken him to the emergency room the day before, according to a report by WWMT-TV affiliate. Kalamazoo CBS.

Later that day, Brian and Mia Morrow reportedly tested positive for methamphetamine.

Investigators also learned that the couple had previously been investigated multiple times by Child Protective Services (CPS) for their treatment of their son, WWMT reported. Morrow and her husband reportedly removed Jaxson Morrow from the LOGAN Autism Learning Center because they were “fed up with CPS being called” to report them for mistreating the child.

Additionally, investigators spoke to the daughter of Brian Morrow, who allegedly used to live with the Morrows. The girl, whose name and age were not released, allegedly told police that the couple did not like dealing with her son “because she smelled like urine” and that she often locked the 8-year-old boy in her room. She reportedly described the boy as “so skinny you could put your finger around his arms.”Read More…..
