A woman, a nurse and mother of one, was found shot to death after being kidnapped, according to local Michigan reports. Detroit police said the suspect, Jamere Miller, 36, abducted Patrice Latoya Wilson at approximately 7:40 a.m. Saturday. m. in the 4200 block of St. Antoine Street.

“She approached our victim just as she was getting into the driver’s side of her vehicle,” Capt. Donna McCord of the Detroit Police Department said, according to WXYZ. “Then she got into her vehicle, forced her into it and fled with her inside.” Her mother, Rosalyn Livingston, told the outlet during the search that she received a call from someone she described as speaking to Wilson on the phone. Then there was screaming and Wilson’s phone went dead.

“The further she got away…he sent flowers,” she said of the former couple. “If you drive by her house, there are things on her doorstep that she likes to leave there to let her know, ‘I’m not accepting things from you.'”

Livingston said her 15-year-old son died in 2003 when he was struck by a car. To this day, she doesn’t know who did it, she said. She expressed the hope that her daughter Patrice could convince Miller “to let her go.” She described her daughter Patrice de ella as, in middle words, quiet, studious, and a good mother. “I just want her to come home so she can see her child,” she said. “Tomorrow is Mother’s Day.”

But Wilson was found dead in an apartment complex in the city of Novi, Michigan, on Haggerty Road between 9 and 10 Mile highways, according to WDIV.
