A former substitute teacher and track coach Peyton Harris from Pennsylvania has pleaded guilty to charges of possession of child pornography and supplying alcohol to minors, prosecutors said this week.
Peyton Harris, of Mifflintown, Pennsylvania, was charged with throwing a party at his house, providing alcohol to minors with false identification and taking photos and videos of minors engaging in sexual activity, authorities said.

Harris was a substitute teacher at Juniata and Newport high schools, and was an assistant manager for the track team at Juniata, the attorney general’s office said. The schools are less than an hour’s drive northwest of Harrisburg in central Keystone.

“Parents and students trusted Mr. Harris to be a positive influence and empower the youth in his community,” said Acting Attorney General Michelle Henry.
“He violated that trust when he exploited minors and put them at risk. Today’s guilty plea is a reminder that this office will continue to work to protect young people and hold those who hurt them accountable.”

Harris hosted a party at his house where he provided alcohol to minors using a fake ID card, according to the news release. During the party, Harris took photos and videos of minors engaging in sexual activity, authorities said.

Peyton Harris Pleads Guilty to Child Porn

According to a copy of the criminal complaint, at least one of the recordings showed a person “in a state of full or partial nudity” in a “place where that person would have a reasonable expectation of privacy.” A probable cause affidavit says state police learned of the alleged crimes on April 25, 2022.

“[A] junior student. . . at Juniata High School he was having a sexual relationship with Peyton William Harris,” says the affidavit on the tip that led authorities to launch an investigation. That student allegedly said during a police interview on April 29, 2022, that “he and the defendant had kissed in approximately July 2021.”

The affidavit says the student further told police the defendant “had multiple nude photos and videos” in his possession. In one case, the defendant allegedly recorded the complainant student having “sexual intercourse with a woman without the consent of either party.”

It is also alleged that the defendant took photos of a student “measuring his own penis with a ruler.” Some of the images were broadcast on Snapchat, according to the affidavit.
