NORTH CAROLINA: Newly released photos show the annex building where a 13-year-old girl was reportedly kept after she was kidnapped by a 34-year-old man. He allegedly also committed various sexual crimes against her.

Davidson County Sheriff Richie Simmons said the defendant spoke to the student through “social media chat platforms” and “the content of the chat was consistent with grooming and incitement, and enticed her to leave the the house where he picked her up in the [Dallas],” The Sun reported. The girl was found in Southmont after cops learned the location of the suspect. Pictures of the shed can be seen here.

The unit from which the victim was rescued had a mattress and a television along with some other furniture. After being saved, she was sent to the hospital for a checkup before going home. The sheriff noted, “I thank God we were able to find this young lady. This is just the tip of the iceberg, we think, so we are still looking into this as well,” before mentioning: “This is how children are sold for human trafficking. They can’t be kids.”

He added: “What we are teaching our children and our homes, it scares me. It scares me even more that we have to have classes to teach our kids to be careful with social media. Our message is going to be, please help us. I am very grateful. I thank God we were able to find this young lady. It may not be like this forever, and what these kids have to go through, they don’t think, who they’re talking to.”

The shed’s owner, Trop Sim, also spoke after the incident. Calling Camacho a friend of his son’s, he reportedly said: “He lives with me for two years, he doesn’t show that he is that kind of person, so I don’t know why he does that.” Sim also told Fox 4 News: “I just embraced it. And many times, that’s online. The average age that a girl is trafficked here in the United States is 15 years old.”

Added Davis: “Although alarming, we are not surprised because this is how trafficking occurs in our community. It could still have been even worse, though that’s hard to imagine. She could have been missing for a long time or she could have been killed.Read More……
